2ND ANNUAL HOLIDAY GIVEAWAY!
EL Alumni and the Town of Colmar Manor
Colmar Manor is a small town in central Prince George’s County established in the 1770’s. It is considered one of the Port Towns of the county and the home of hard-working, blue collar family. However, hard times can be cyclical and this time of year can be hard for some families. This year in particular families of Colmar Manor have been negatively effected by the COVID19 corona virus.
The Emerging Leaders Alumni Business Collaborative has decided to again contribute to making the holiday time easier for some families by contributing to the town’s annual toy drive. However, this year will be quite different. This year, we are asking alumni to contribute money for the cause through either Ca$hApp or Zelle. To give you the option of making sure your donation is tax deductible, we are partnering with Access to Wholistic & Productive Living (www.awpli.org); a 501c(3) in Colmar Manor that works to alleviate the social determinants of health. They (under the supervision of Board Member Ralph Williams) will purchase the toys and distribute the toys on our behalf.
But don’t wait too long, the drive ends on December 19. If you want to contribute without sending money, toys can be dropped of at the Colmar Manor Community Center and Town Hall. The address is 3701 Lawrence St, Colmar Manor, Maryland 20722. If you have any questions, contact Ralph Williams at (rwilliams at awpli.org).
Thank you for your support!
